National Park Highlight- Death Valley- South Eastern CA into NV
Another awesome adventure for my admin and her family. Her advice is to be sure you know where you’re going before you head out, as cell phone service is spotty throughout the mountainous drive. It’s handy to have extra snacks and water in the back of the car. The views are amazing- cushion your drive time for all the stops. In this below-sea-level basin, steady drought and record summer heat make Death Valley a land of extremes. Yet, each extreme has a striking contrast. Towering peaks are frosted with winter snow. Rare rainstorms bring vast fields of wildflowers. Lush oases harbor tiny fish and refuge for wildlife and humans. Despite its morbid name, a great diversity of life thrives in Death Valley.
